The Economic Management for Sustainability Research Group (GECOS), part of the Excellence Unit of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, organised the first edition of the GECOS Training School from 1 to 3 October at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Salamanca.
The training event was aimed at researchers, with the goal of strengthening methodological skills, promoting publications in high-impact journals, and encouraging participation in national and European projects. It featured lectures from experts of renowned academic and professional prestige.
The Quantum Economics & Technology Experience Lab (QETEL) was invited to take part on 2 October with a session entitled Practical Training in Python and R, delivered by QETEL researcher Laura Sanz. Laura’s presentation covered a range of topics, from basic aspects such as variable creation and database importation to more advanced models, including econometric analysis and clustering.
In doing so, QETEL shared the stage with distinguished speakers who addressed topics such as the opportunities offered by AI in research, guidelines for writing and publishing in high-impact journals, advanced regression models, and the design and management of European R&D&I projects, among others.
QETEL would like to thank GECOS for the invitation and the opportunity to take part in the first edition of this training event, which we hope will continue in the years to come.
